KIWANIS CLUB OF

SILVER SPRINGS SHORES

Change Begins with You

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child one community at a time. Founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915, and now headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. The principle core of Kiwanis is the belief that the most effective way to enhance a community is through its children. The Silver Springs Shores Kiwanis Club was sponsored by the Ocala Club and chartered in December of 1980. We impact the lives of children through K-Kids, and Bring Up Grades, elementary school programs that promote self-esteem, builds character and leadership skills. Kiwanis has Builders Club in middle school, Key Club in high school and Circle-K  International at the college level. Other programs include Young Children Priority One, a program with the main objective of meeting the needs of infants and children 0-5 years of age, we have a college scholarship program for local high school students, and offer scholarships to Camp Kiwanis , a summer camp program for children 7-13  in Marion County. Kiwanis has programs that serve children at every level of development. We believe "One can make a Difference"
